BC Delivery Service Alert

Devastating flooding, mudslides, and strong winds in British Columbia (BC) have prompted officials to declare a provincial state of emergency.  Many roads continue to be closed or limited to one-lane traffic while crews are working to reopen roads from the lower mainland to the interior and north.  The following couriers have adjusted their shipping protocols:

UPS (Last Updated 11/18/2021; 2:25)

As we continue to work with local officials, all domestic UPS Standard pick-up and delivery service to, within and from the province, as well as UPS On-Call Pickup service in BC, is currently suspended.

UPS Premium Air service, as well as international volume into and out of the province will continue and may experience delays.  As we attempt delivery of volume currently within the province, all regular scheduled pickups will continue for domestic and international Premium Air service.

Domestic UPS Standard shipments already tendered to UPS destined to BC will be held at a UPS facility to be processed once access is available however, delays should be expected as we clear any backlog that may occur.

Canada Post (Last Updated November 17, 2021)

Due to adverse weather conditions including flooding, rockslides and mudslides in B.C., there are multiple road closures affecting ground transportation of mail and parcels across Western Canada. Customers may experience some delays in receiving items.

Customers inducting time-sensitive items TO OR FROM areas in Western Canada should consider using Xpresspostâ„¢ or Priorityâ„¢ service to help ensure timely delivery of their mailing.

LTL Truck Freight:

Road closures due to flooding and landslides in BC have impacted most freight in and out of the province.  We are not accepting any pick-ups of freight from any point in Canada and the US heading to any point serviced by Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo.

What are we doing to assist those customers affected by these delays?

  1. We have added Canada Post Xpresspost as a shipping option during checkout for those time-sensitive orders.  Please choose this shipping method for any in-stock orders.

  2. UPS Next Day Air and UPS UPS 2nd Day Air air still available as a shipping method and can be selected for any in-stock orders, however UPS is still reporting delays once those shipments reach BC.

  3. Existing orders that are being shipped Ground or Ground Split can be upgraded to Canada Post Xpresspost for an additional fee.  Please contact us for further information.

  4. If you prefer your order to be held at our facility until our shipping partners resolve these delays, please contact us to have your order placed on hold.  Your products will be secured to your order so that they can leave immediately once the restrictions are lifted.

  5. All LTL Truck Freight shipments will be held at our facility, and your products secured to your order.  We will begin shipping our LTL shipments once we receive approval from the trucking companies.

  6. We will be monitoring all orders affected by this issue and adjusting our shipping protocols accordingly.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
